  • The St. Joseph Pillar of Families, Family of Parishes which includes Holy Angels in Sidney, Sts. Peter and Paul in Newport, Sacred Heart of Jesus in McCartyville, and St Michael in Ft. Loramie is seeking a Director of Faith Formation. The Director of Faith Formation is responsible for supervising and managing the Faith Formation Teams in the Family of Parishes. The Faith Formation Teams are comprised of Coordinators and Youth Ministers for Youth (pre-K-5 through 12), Adult Faith Formation, and Marriage and Family Faith Formation. The Faith Formation Teams are responsible for all efforts of accompanying youth, adults, and families through the Process of Faith Formation so that the parish is fostering missionary disciples. Faith Formation must be able to articulate and implement a clear vision/mission for Faith Formation to parents, youth, staff, and parishioners.

    A Master's degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies, Theology, Religious Education, or related field is strongly recommended or commensurate ministry experience. Must have spiritual maturity, be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who is faithful to the Magisterium, consistent in one’s prayer life, regularly receiving the sacraments, and able to speak of one’s relationship with Jesus. Applicant must have a broad understanding of and ability to articulate Church teaching regarding faith formation, catechesis, prayer, sacraments, and ecclesiology. Must have experience mentoring and accompanying adults at different stages of the discipleship path. Must be able to pray in front of and with others, to lead and participate in spontaneous prayer. Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people using the spoken word, both within one-on-one coaching/mentoring situations and in large group settings.

  • The St. Joseph Pillar of Families, Family of Parishes which includes Holy Angels in Sidney, Sts. Peter and Paul in Newport, Sacred Heart of Jesus in McCartyville, and St Michael in Ft. Loramie is seeking a Director of Liturgy, Worship and Music. The Director of Liturgy, Worship and Music assists the pastor in establishing policies and guidelines for liturgy, worship, music and the sacraments. The Director of Liturgy, Worship and Music is responsible for coordinating all the liturgical aspects of parish life. This person ensures the liturgical celebrations of the Family of Parishes are well prepared and celebrated, directs efforts in liturgical catechesis for the faithful, and oversees the formation and training of lay liturgical ministries. Other responsibilities include: overseeing the liturgical staff including music ministers, sacristans, etc., and managing the Liturgy, Worship and Music Teams in the Family of Parishes. These Teams are comprised of leaders for each of these areas in each of the parishes in the St. Joseph Pillar of Families. The Director of Liturgy, Worship and Music must be able to articulate and implement a clear vision/mission.

    A degree in Roman Catholic Liturgy, Music, Pastoral Ministry or related field is strongly recommended or commensurate liturgical/music ministry experience. The qualified candidate must have spiritual maturity, be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, be faithful to the Magisterium, consistent in one’s prayer life, regularly receiving the sacraments, and able to speak of one’s relationship with Jesus. Applicant must have a broad understanding of and ability to articulate Church teaching and practice regarding the liturgical life. Must have experience mentoring and accompanying adults at different stages of the discipleship path.
