Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society

The Holy Angels Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society comprises all women over age 18 that attend Holy Angels Church. Our mission is to promote devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus by supporting needs of the church and by creating a spirit of togetherness among the women of the parish.

Our funding is obtained through memorial donations, bake sales and annual raffles.

Our primary financial assistance is extended to Holy Angels Church for altar linens, vestments, and altar flowers. Other financial support has been given to parish religious in training, Lehman Chapel, Maria Stein Relic Chapel fund, Right to Life, Elizabeth New Life Center, Holy Angels Soup Kitchen, Christmas gifts to clergy, First Communicants and the Twinning parish.

Community outreach includes many hours of service to nursing homes, funerals, priest and church receptions, parish picnic, etc. See the list of officers and chairwomen to contact for more information about areas of our service to our church.

Historically, the Holy Angels Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society is among the first ministries in the parish dating to 1915. In 1932 our pastor, Father Edward C. Lehman, providing spiritual direction, guided the group in the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Thus, our mission was created and remains the same today.
